  1. Anillo mágico de 6 puntos
  2. 1 aum en cada pb (12)
  3. 1 pb 1 aum en toda la vuelta (18)
  4.  2 pb 1 aum en toda la vuelta (24)

XOXO

Isa

For this Christmas presents I have made several crochet usefull stuff for my family. A part from the Tweety from a couple of posts ago, I also made coin purses for eveyrone.

The first pictures are from the ones I did for the women. They are sooo easy to crochet. First, you need to buy the purse close. I bought a package in Amazon for a nice price.

Then, here are the instructions:

  1. Magic ring of 6
  2. 1 inc in each point
  3. 1 sc 1 inc arround
  4. 2sc 1 in all arround
  5. ...and cuntinue the series until you have a circle the same size od the closure open.
  6. Then sew the crochet to the closure
  7. Sew the design for ornament
Ready!

This coin purses are very cute, but they're not very suitable for men, so I start crocheting something different for them. Lucky me, one of my uncles shares my passion about motorcicle and Marc Márquez, so I have not doubt about what to do for him with Márquez's ant.
This coin purse is even easier than the other one. Just follow the instructions for the mobile case from a few posts ago (but much much shorter) and sew a zip to it. The ant needed more work, since I had to cut all the pieces in felt and glue them, but I think the result is worth it!

XOXO

Besitos
Isa

Happy New Year everyone!

It’s a Little bit late, I know, but since this is our first post in 2014...

Did Santa bring you a lot of gifts? Have you started with your New Year purposes? I have to confess I haven’t, but not because I don’t want to. I’ve been sick all holydays and I can’t go to the gym, or read or crochet...I just want to spend all my free time in bed :(

But, stop with the sad things, we are here to show you our artwork. I finish this Dumbo right before Christmas but I was fighting with it since summer. I finished the body and the head really fast, but then the ears were a disaster. The pattern is a little weird and I didn’t follow it correctly, so I ended up with a couple of ears I didn’t want for my Dumbo, but I was too lazy to repeat them. Just until the TV show Christmas break, when I say to myself “just do it already!”

Do you like the final result? I think is a really cut Dumbo, although I wasn’t so sure when I was gluing the eyes...

xoxo

¡Hola a tod@s!

¡Felices fiestas!

Isa

Hi everyone!

First things first. We want to wish you happy Christmas, and we hope you spend your time with your love ones.

And now, I want to share with you a lot of things I’ve been crocheting lately. Since I have holydays at work and all my favorite TV shows are on hold, I’ve had a lot of time to crochet as I haven’t done for a long time.

The first amigurumi I’ll show you is this Tweety I’ve crocheted as a Christmas present for my mom. I saw the pattern a long time ago, but between all yellow yarns I had, I didn’t have one I liked for it. Last week I found a correct yellow in a store and knew it was the time. You can see in the result in the picture above.

The pattern I used is in Spanish, and I don’t know if there’s a pattern in English. Sorry! You can find it here, and I can help you translate it if you want.

Happy Christmas!

Isa

¡Hola!

Isa

Hi everyone!

I know we have the blog a little bit abandoned. Naomie is really busy with the Master’s of the Universe she’s doing, and I’ve been spending my free time skating and watching TV shows so I haven’t been crocheting.

The thing is that I lost my mobile case while skating and I was too lazy to go and buy a new one, so I thougth:”Hey, why don’t you crochet your own case?” And so I did.

And being a whovian like me, and just after the 50th anniversary, I couldn’t help it to make a TARDIS-case for my phone as the one in the picture. I think is quite similar, don’t you? I have to confess I don’t like very much the Police Box sign, but it’s very difficult to sew letters in the felt. Otherwise, I’m happy with my case.

If you want to make your own, here are the general instructions. My phone is a Nexus 4,  if you want to have an idea of sizes.
  1. Chain 3 more point of the width of your phone. (20 in my case)
  2. Go back and crochet one simple crochet in each point of the chain.
  3. Turn around and crochet one sc in each point of the other side of the chain.
  4. Keep crocheting sc in rounds, until you reach the height of your phone. (33 rounds in my case)
  5. Crochet one sc in each sc for half the case, and one chain at the end
  6. Turn around and crochet 1 sc in each and a chain at the end
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have a flap to cover the phone. (12 rounds in my case)
  8. Sew the Velcro to the flap and the corresponding place on the front
  9. You can sew a ribbon as in the pictures to help you extract the phone of the cover
  10. Now sew the details of the windows and the sign
And there’s your TARDIS-cover!

Last week I showed you my second amigurumi, today I bring my first one. One year ago I decided to make an amigurumi to my cousin's newborn child, and after a long searching this dinosaur was my choice.

Since then, I've made five more dinousaurs some of them to sell others to give them away and I never get bored of it.
Is a pattern from Lanas y ovillos, an amazing web about crochet with a lot of patterns and tutorials, Isa and me are totally in love with it!

The pattern is free and it has a video tutorial, but is only in Spanish.

Navidad, Navidad, dulce Navidaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad...

Santa Claus is coming to toooooooooown...
I'm not crazy, I promise, and I know we are still in October, but "Turrón" (type of spanish candy traditionally eaten at Christmas) is already in supermarkets, it has reminded me that I haven't shown you the amigurumi nativity I made last year.
It was my second amigurumi, and it took me a long time to finish it, but because of this project I became an amigurumi lover.

You can download the pattern here (not free).
